		<description><![CDATA[感谢一位朋友的介绍，读了OCLC的这篇报告。正如某位博客所说（sorry，忘了是哪位了），这份报告的写法的确不像一份研究报告。倒像一份杂乱拼凑的拼盘，但这居然也被OCLC接受了。
报 告的作者似乎是Wiliam Gibson的忠实读者，在第二页就开始饮用Wiliam的小说Neuromancer（ 有人译作《神经漫游者》），这篇84年发表、同时获得多个大奖的科幻小说，在万维网出现和应用之前好多年，就描绘出了它的模样，具有讽刺意义的是，当时的Wiliam完全不懂计算机，更没见过网络。这倒应证了一句古话：当局者迷、旁观者清。
第一遍看《黑客帝国》时候，认为其后现代的叙事方式，用所谓的技术包装后，却显得再自然不过。这份报告从内容和形式上，都深得《黑客帝国》的精髓哦。  
报告作者对Wiliam的偏爱是很明显的，这份报告的题目与Wiliam2003年的一部作品同名，也许是故意的。 在这部小说中，Wiliam有这样一段话：
我们没有前途，因为我们的现状太不稳定了。我们只有风险管理。我们的所做所为只能围绕一时的情景。[说实话，最后一句能翻出来实在见功底，佩服！原文是：The spinning of the given moment's scenarios. ]

报告中说，OCLC的成功，在于它对环境深刻理解之后采取的大胆行动。面对图书馆代表的秩序世界和Web代表的混沌世界之间的裂缝 （interstice，twilight zone），OCLC认为首先需要的是理解，这篇报告理所当然应该被认为是OCLC对裂缝的认识和理解，完成了这一步，下一步OCLC将采取什么样的大胆 的行动呢？还不知道。
但如果某天有OCLC和Google合作的新闻，我是不会吃惊的。

也正因为“鬼子”强调阅读，他们的历史、地理之类很少让学生去背什么某年某月某日发生了什么，某国某地产什么矿之类的东西。所以我们才能经常有机会取笑他 们 的小孩不知道中国在亚洲等等“常识”。但我们往往忽视了他们要求中小学生必须学会熟练使用图书馆，学会熟练地通过图书馆（书籍和工作人员）找到问题的答 案。有了这样自愿和强迫，图书馆对于“鬼子”和对于我们，其实有了很大的差别。这也是“信息素养”得到培养的一种办法把。
回想自己到大学以后才知道图书馆里不只有小说、杂志、画报。才第一次去借书、还书、进书库找书&#8230;&#8230;我作为一个来自大城市（这里没有任何贬低农村的意思）的孩子尚且如此，来自经济欠发达地区的孩子“信息素养”会如何，更加不得而知。
尽 管最近不时传出“鬼子”的中小型社区图书馆经费困难、人员紧张、甚至关门大吉的消息，但总的说来，“鬼子”的社区图书馆办的有声有色。也就是因此，“鬼 子”的图书馆才形成这么大的一个“市场”。市场大了，才值得厂商把这个市场细分，然后针对某个认定的局部，开发出自己的产品。

<p>本想重新申请一个帐户，无奈被告知email已经被使用。发现可以找回自己的密码。于是试一下、二下、三下。。。终于，系统提示说我的密码自动重新设定了。新密码被传回邮箱。</p>
<p>进来以后第一件事就是改变密码。</p>
<p>感觉这个WordPress有点over-designed的味道。。。</p>
